Auto Auction Holdings is ready to grow.

The company has added new general managers for three of its auctions as part of its strategic decision to expand its commercial footprint, an area it said had not previously been a primary focus.

In a news release, AAH said Jerry Barker has come on board as GM of Speedway Auto Auction of Charlotte in Concord, N.C.; Tim DeBerry has been named GM of Orlando Longwood Auto Auction in Longwood, Fla.; and Rob Frazier is now GM of Greater Atlanta Auto Auction in Winder, Ga.

AAH began its growth initiative earlier year, hiring Tammy Swofford, an auto auction veteran who has worked in leadership roles with America’s Auto Auction, McConkey Auction Group and ADESA.

“Tammy Swofford hit the ground running in January of this year,” president Joaquin Muvdi said, “but we knew in order to retain new business and grow our market share we needed seasoned general managers with pre-existing commercial relationships already in place.”

Barker comes to AAH with 28 years of experience with Greensboro Auto Auction, as well as two years as executive vice president of fleet for GSP Transport.

DeBerry, 30-plus-year career includes tenures with Anglo American, ADT, Manheim, ADESA and his own start-up auction.

Frazier also has more than 30 years in the industry after beginning his career as an assistant golf pro. He founded a detail business before going into auctions with roles for Daimler-Chrysler, Manheim, ADESA and America’s Auto Auction.

“We have truly hit the trifecta with these three,” Muvdi said. “We’re excited about the momentum we’re building and the exponential growth we anticipate in the months and years ahead.”

Auto Auction Holdings operates five auction locations — also including Music City Auto Auction of Nashville and South Florida Auto Auction in Lauderdale Lakes, Fla. — as well as a national floor plan company.
