You don’t need a CDK DMS to use CDK’s service department technology anymore.
The auto retail software provider announced it has made its CDK Fixed Operations Suite available to all dealership customers — even those that don’t have a CDK dealership management system.
The company said the decision builds on the suite’s success in improving service workflows, consumer experiences and operating efficiencies as part of the integrated CDK Dealership Xperience.
Citing its recent Service Shopper study, CDK said consumers prioritize convenient appointment scheduling in the vehicle repair process, but nearly 40% of the respondents reported problems when booking service appointments by phone. The average wait time on hold for phone customers was 8.2 minutes — an experience the company said discourages many from returning to the dealership for future maintenance or repairs.
“Many dealerships still struggle to make repairs understandable, clearly communicate service needs and consistently engage customers about future repairs, resulting in missed opportunities to build customer loyalty,” CDK chief product officer Sanjay Almeida said. “Our Fixed Operations Suite has a proven track record of enhancing dealer operational efficiency and service profitability through unmatched, data-driven and scalable workflows.”
The CDK Fixed Operations Suite offers integrated artificial intelligence for HD-quality inspection videos designed to enhance customer engagement, and an AI virtual assistant — AIVA — that provides professional responses, using smart replies and translation services in more than 50 languages.
CDK said the system also provides vehicle updates, including vehicle tracking, health alerts and pricing for all makes and models; through digital communications, as well as multichannel appointment scheduling with 24/7 online access, a flexible BDC scheduling and appointment dashboard, and automated appointment alerts and reminders via mobile contact.
