A former college quarterback has scored his first victory as an NFL player before ever playing a pro game.

Dillon Gabriel, the ex-Oregon star and Cleveland Browns third-round draft choice, has signed a major endorsement deal with the Chrysler brand and its Pacifica minivan.

Gabriel, who finished third in the 2024 Heisman Trophy voting, famously bought a Pacifica with his name, image and likeness money when he transferred from Oklahoma to Oregon.

“Dillon could drive pretty much whatever he wants, and we are honored he chose the segment-leading Pacifica, which offers the safety, comfort and style he needs to travel with his teammate — and the opportunity to create lasting memories along the way,” Chrysler brand CEO Chris Feuell said. “We’re proud to continue to support Dillon’s journey as he begins his NFL career and builds bonds with his fellow teammates.”

In a news release, Chrysler noted Gabriel first shared his enthusiasm for the Pacifica during a 2024 interview with Big Ten Network’s Guy Haberman, conducted fittingly inside the vehicle itself. The minivan become a symbol of his journey, supporting not just the actual drive, but his drive for connection, comfort and leadership.

“I always like to joke around that I’m built for comfort,” said Gabriel, who began his college football career at Central Florida. “In addition, given insurance, cost and being able to have space for other people, I’ve always loved the minivan so I try to use it to my advantage.

“I think the cool part is, in high school you go on these trips together whether it’s in another state, on the plane, in the hotel, [it’s] things you remember for a lifetime. But also, when things aren’t mandatory, having the car ride to go grab a bite to eat or even when you have the down time retreat, we all kind of carpool because there’s a longer drive so with all of that. I think it just helps having a vehicle that can fit everyone.”

The Chrysler brand, which celebrated its 100th anniversary June 6, has introduced a special 100th Anniversary Pacifica model. The company has also released a seven-part social media series celebrating Chrysler’s 100-year history.
