Team Velocity-RunBuggy integration shows car buyers delivery costs up front

Auto retail technology provider Team Velocity announced a new collaboration with auto logistics platform RunBuggy that seeks to make the online car-buying experience more transparent by embedding real-time shipping and delivery costs directly into the consumer payment process.
The integration allows dealerships using Team Velocity’s platforms to offer vehicle delivery through RunBuggy’s transporter network, giving customers browsing vehicles online instant transportation pricing that includes the cost of shipping.
In a news release, Team Velocity said that information eliminates ambiguity and improves confidence in purchase decisions.
“This partnership with RunBuggy is another example of how we’re delivering a more inclusive and efficient car-buying experience,” Team Velocity co-founder and CEO David Boice said. “When consumers know exactly what they’ll pay, including delivery, they’re more likely to move forward with a purchase.
“It’s good for shoppers and it’s even better for dealerships looking to expand their reach beyond their immediate geographic markets.”
The collaboration pairs RunBuggy’s delivery platform, which connects dealerships with a network of more than 17,000 drivers, with Team Velocity’s technology that integrates the logistics details into dealerships’ websites and digital retailing tools.
The result, Team Velocity said, allows consumers to select any vehicle and view a fully loaded payment, including the cost to have it delivered to their door.
“By teaming up with Team Velocity, we’re bringing frictionless delivery into the mainstream of online vehicle sales,” RunBuggy senior vice president of sales Casey Harmon said. “Together, we’re bridging the gap between digital selection and physical delivery in a way that’s never been done at this scale.”
