Lithia & Driveway’s aggressive approach to the dealership M&A market remains intact.

In fact, it’s racing ahead at full speed.

The giant dealership group, which operates more than 400 locations in the U.S., Canada and the U.K., has acquired Stivers Decatur Subaru in Decatur, Ga., from Stivers Automotive Group.

In a news release, the company said the purchase was financed using existing on-balance sheet capacity.

Lithia said the addition of the store in the Atlanta market “increases network density” in the Southeast region and adds to its mix of import brands, as well as bringing in an estimated $100 million in annualized revenue.

Lithia president and CEO Bryan DeBoer said called Atlanta a “key growth market” and said the Subaru store is “a perfect fit for our expanding network.”

“The Atlanta metro is a dynamic market, and Subaru’s loyal customer base aligns with our focus on lifetime ownership experiences,” he said. “This addition deepens our Southeast footprint and enhances our ability to deliver convenient, in-network sales and service, online and in-store, while advancing our disciplined growth strategy.”

The dealership is the eighth acquired by Lithia in 2025, including three Subaru stores and six in Southeastern markets. The company said the year-to-date annualized revenue of the new additions totals $720 million.

Lithia has also sold four dealerships this year, three in West Virginia and one in Oregon.

Stivers Automotive, based in Atlanta and led by brothers Johnny and Eddie Stivers, operates dealerships in Georgia, Alabama South Carolina and Arizona. Last month, the group added a Ford dealership in Fayetteville, Ga., some 20 miles south of Atlanta.

“We are proud of what we have built at Stivers Subaru and grateful to our employees and customers for their loyalty over the years,” Johnny Stivers said. “As part of our ongoing growth, we made a strategic decision to sell the Subaru store while continuing to expand elsewhere.”

The Presidio Group, which advised Stivers in the Lithia deal, said the sale is its fourth this year involving a Subaru dealership, noting the brand ranked fourth among desirable brands in the Presidio Midyear 2025 Dealer Direction Survey.

“Subaru continues to stand out as one of the most sought-after brands in the market,” Presidio Group president George Karolis said, “both for its loyal customer base and its strong performance. … Demand for Subaru stores and the market’s overall pace of dealership M&A activity continue to be robust.”

In addition, Atlanta has been a hot M&A market of late with at least five locations in the area changing hands since August, including acquisitions by ALM Automotive Group and Group 1 Automotive.
