V20 is at last go for launch.

The Vendor 20 Group, in the works for more than two years since its initial meeting in October 2023, is ready for prime time, debuting for the broader automotive industry at the NADA Show, Feb. 3-6 in Las Vegas.

In a news release, V20 said it will offer “an education-first, pitch-free space focused on real conversations, practical insight and problem solving” at the event, including a rotating series of short presentations led by V20 members and informal opportunities to ask questions and exchange ideas with subject experts.

“Dealers look to vendors not just for tools, but for ideas that lead to real solutions,” said V20 president and co-founder Dave Spannhake, founder and CEO of Reunion Marketing. “V20 gives vendors a space to collaborate, share what works and help elevate the industry together. I would have loved to have a resource like this when I launched Reunion.”

The group has also introduced the V20 Marketplace, a resource designed to help automotive businesses explore software and service partners. V20 said the marketplace includes verified user reviews, expert guidance and tools to help decision-makers better understand options and evaluate fit.

V20 was co-founded by industry executives Brent Williams, Spannhake and David Kain as a forum specifically for automotive vendors and designed to encourage collaboration, shared learning and higher standards throughout the industry.

The group joins leaders from automotive retail technology and services in a structured, moderated environment. It now includes 70 member companies in four active cohorts: V20.1, V20.2, V20.3 and V20.4, based on the concept of a place vendors can come together and learn from each other in a trusted environment without the fear of trade secrets being exposed and used in a competitive manner.

“For too long, vendors have worked in silos, even while trying to solve the same problems,” said Williams, founder and former CEO of SnapCell. “V20 is about shifting from competition to cooperation so we can innovate together and deliver better results for dealers.”

Kain said the group is “as much about accountability as it is collaboration. When vendors learn from one another, it improves decision-making, strengthens leadership teams and ultimately leads to better support for dealerships.”
