We’ve got some new and exciting ideas being implemented at the Used Car Industry Summit this spring.

Day 3 of the event, which runs April 13-15 in Miami, will include a morning of deep-dive roundtable discussions.

These roundtables will allow attendees to have more nuanced, meaningful conversations about the sessions from the event’s first two days.

The three roundtable rooms will be divided by topic: Retail, Remarketing and Auto Finance.

The Retail Roundtable room will be led by Todd Caputo, president of Todd Caputo Consulting, former owner/general manager of Sun Chevrolet, founder of Used Car King dealerships and a former EchoPark Automotive executive.

Caputo will be joined by a crew of Table Leaders working in retail automotive who will lead discussions on:

  • Best practices for used-vehicle appraisals, reconditioning and merchandising
  • Pre-recon and post-recon strategies for dealers
  • Maximizing on-the-lot merchandising
  • How to implement and run used-car buying teams at the dealership
  • How to best acquire cars from the service lane
  • The benefits of mystery shopping your store
