The Dream grows in South Florida.

Dream Motor Group, owned by College Football Hall of Fame coach Nick Saban, Joe Agresti and Steve Cannon, has acquired two dealerships in the area from Bill Seidle’s Automotive Group, according to The Presidio Group, which represented the buyer in the transaction.

The addition of Bill Seidle’s Nissan and Bill Seidle’s Mitsubishi in Doral doubles Dream’s presence in the Miami area, joining Mercedes-Benz of Cutler Bay and Mercedes-Benz of Coral Gables.

Cannon, former CEO of Mercedes-Benz USA, said the acquisition is part of the company’s strategic expansion the region. The dealership group now operates 13 locations in Florida, Alabama, Louisiana, Texas and Tennessee.

“We’re thrilled to expand Dream Motor Group’s Florida footprint to Doral, where we look forward to delivering dreams every day for our clients,” he said.

Dream’s new stores, renamed Nissan of Doral and Doral Mitsubishi, are the third and fourth acquired in just over four months. The company announced the purchase of two dealerships in Montgomery, Ala., in late November.

For the Seidle family, the sale ends its long history in the Miami area.

“Our family is proud to have been part of the South Florida automotive community for many years,” Bill Seidle’s Automotive president Michael Seidle said. “Wherever long-term plans for the location lead, Dream Motor Group will be great stewards of the legacy we built over the years.”

Kunes extends United Way fundraising campaign to reach $100,000 goal

Last month, Kunes Auto & RV Group’s three Milwaukee-area dealerships donated almost $60,000 to a Milwaukee charity.

Now they’re ready to do more.

The Delavan, Wis.-based dealership group has extended the fundraising campaign to support United Way of Greater Milwaukee & Waukesha County’s Reducing Barriers to Employment & Advancement program into April until it reaches its goal of $100,000.

The company’s initiative had pledged to donate $100 per vehicle sold at the three stores in March to the United Way program, up to $100,000. The locations — Kunes Buick GMC of Oak Creek, Kunes Buick GMC of Greenfield and Kunes Hope Chevrolet in Milwaukee — ended the month having sold 582 vehicles, generating $58,200.

Now they will continue to contribute $100 per sale until the total meets the original targets of 1,000 vehicles and $100,000.

“We made a commitment to this community and intend to keep it,” Kunes’ Milwaukee area regional director Brian Bohm said. “The goal was always to raise $100,000 for families in Milwaukee who need real support, and this community deserves nothing less.”

The United Way program supports Milwaukee residents facing transportation and driver’s license barriers to employment by providing transportation assistance and resources to help them access jobs, job training and essential services.

In a news release, Kunes said extending the campaign is part of the company’s broader culture of community investment. That includes donating 10% of its net profits annually through the Kunes Family Foundation, with more than $1 million each year directed to community organizations, charities and missions focused on helping people in need.

Kunes, which operates some 40 locations in Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa and Minnesota, has been operating in southern Wisconsin since 1996. The three dealerships participating in the current initiative were all acquired since June 2023.
