What prompted/inspired you to join the auto industry and what do you enjoy most about it?
I was inspired to join the automotive industry because it has always been a part of my life through my family’s business. Growing up around the industry gave me an early appreciation for how much work, strategy and relationship-building goes into moving vehicles through the market. Seeing firsthand the dedication and passion my family has for the business made me curious to learn more and eventually pursue a career in the space myself.
What is the top trend you’re watching in the used-car industry this year?
One of the biggest trends I’m watching in the used-car industry this year is how technology and data are transforming remarketing. From AI-driven pricing tools to more advanced digital auctions, the ability to analyze market data in real time is helping dealers and remarketers make faster, smarter decisions about inventory.
What accomplishment are you most proud of in your career?
One of the accomplishments I’m most proud of is building my own path in an industry that has been part of my family for generations. While I grew up around the automotive business, stepping into the industry myself and learning the complexities of remarketing has been both exciting and challenging.
What book, film or song has inspired you personally or professionally?
A quote that has resonated with me is the idea that “practice doesn’t make perfect—practice makes permanent.” It’s a reminder that repeating something the wrong way over and over doesn’t lead to improvement; it reinforces bad habits. Real growth comes from being intentional about learning, paying attention to feedback and making adjustments along the way.
Who is someone who has inspired you personally or professionally?
Someone who has inspired me both personally and professionally is my grandfather, Bill DeLuca. His dedication to the automotive industry and the way he built lasting relationships through hard work, integrity and perseverance has always been something I admire.
