What prompted/inspired you to join the auto industry and what do you enjoy most about it?
What began as just a “job” while going through college quickly evolved into a fulfilling, nearly 3-decade career with ADESA. I still remember my first auction day; I was mesmerized by the auctioneers — thinking to myself, “How do they talk like that?”— and the energy of the ringmen calling the bids in the lanes. Very quickly, I was immersed in what I like to call the “organized chaos” of running an auction, and I knew then I was hooked.
While the fast-paced, unpredictable nature of the business — where no two days are ever the same — has kept me engaged for over 28 years, it is the people I enjoy most. I feel incredibly blessed by the relationships I have built within this industry. From those I work alongside to the customers we serve, many of these connections have grown into lifelong friendships. For me, the heart of the auto auction industry isn’t just the vehicles moving through the lanes; it is the remarkable individuals who make every day an experience I truly look forward to.
What is the top trend you’re watching in the used-car industry this year?
A top trend I am watching in the used-car industry is the introduction of AI. In an industry where consistency is key, some of these AI tools provide a level of precision we’ve never had before.
I see these tools as a vital way to build even greater trust between buyers and sellers through AI assisted condition report accuracy. By removing subjectivity from the process, we build greater confidence for our customers. Watching technology simplify complex operations while empowering our people to work more efficiently is a significant shift in the industry.
What accomplishment are you most proud of in your career?
I am most proud of building a very successful career in the auto industry while at the same time my husband and I grew our family from the two of us to a family of six. Balancing the demands of leadership while being a fully present wife and mother has been my most rewarding challenge. I am proud to have set an example for my four children, showing them firsthand the work ethic, dedication, and integrity required to build a successful career.
To have grown professionally while remaining anchored in my family is my ultimate achievement. I am blessed to show my children and others that with dedication, you can have a successful career without compromising the love and presence required at home.
What book, film or song has inspired you personally or professionally?
I am inspired by the song “Goodness of God” by Jenn Johnson. It serves as a constant reminder that God is always good in every aspect of my life. For me, this song is a powerful reflection of the grace that has guided both my career and my family, grounding me with a grateful heart in every season.

Who is someone who has inspired you personally or professionally?
Throughout my ADESA career, I have been fortunate to be shaped by many amazing leaders. I would like to highlight three mentors who played a pivotal role in my journey. At the very start, Dennis Jones believed in my potential and gave me my first management opportunity straight out of college, teaching me to ‘grow up quickly’ and embrace the responsibilities of leadership.
Doug Shore has been a constant from day one; I am deeply grateful for his unwavering encouragement and a friendship that has spanned my entire career. Finally, Mike Caggiano was instrumental in my transition from the auction lanes to the corporate world. His confidence in my ability to lead gave me the courage to take that first major leap into a new chapter of my professional life. I am truly thankful to all those who taught me about this industry and helped form the leader I am today.
