NADA Board Elects 2013 Leadership

McLEAN, Va. –
On Tuesday, the National Automobile Dealers Association reported on the election results for its 2013 chairman and vice chairman positions.
NADA has chosen David Westcott of North Carolina as its newest chairman, and Forrest McConnell III as vice chairman for 2013. The election took place at a meeting of NADA’s board of directors in Chicago.
Westcott is the owner of David Westcott Buick GMC Suzuki in Burlington, N.C., and has been a new-car dealer since 1981. He currently represents North Carolina’s new-car dealers on NADA’s board.
Westcott is president of Westcott Automotive, with 2012 NADA committee assignments including Industry Relations and DEAC.
“To be elected chairman of NADA is the highest honor I have ever achieved professionally,” Westcott declared. “I’m excited about representing the new car and truck dealers in America next year.
“All dealers face many challenges today,” Westcott added. “I’m looking forward to working with all dealers, large and small, to keep our industry growing and prospering.”

Westcott will be the sixth dealer from North Carolina to lead NADA.
McConnell is the owner and president of McConnell Honda and Acura in Montgomery, Ala., and represents Alabama’s new-car dealers on NADA’s board, this year serving as chair of its Industry Relations Committee.
NADA reports that Westcott and McConnell will take office at the 2013 NADA Convention and Expo in Orlando, Fla., which takes place Feb. 8–11, 2013.
