Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale Sale to Feature American Muscle-Car Collection

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -
The Barrett-Jackson Auction Co. recently announced that its Scottsdale event will include nine American muscle cars consigned by leading collector Keith Henderson, most of which are from the 1960s and 1970s.
These items will be offered at no reserve.
The 40th Annual Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale Auction is being held Jan. 17-23 at the WestWorld of Scottsdale. The SPEED television network is showing 40 hours of coverage of the event.
“We’ll kick off the new year with an outstanding collection of world-class muscle cars from Mr. Henderson,” stated Barrett-Jackson president Steve Davis. “Keith has been a Barrett-Jackson consignor for many years and his vehicles always generate buzz during our auctions.
“These amazing muscle cars reflect his knowledge, expertise and ownership of some of the finest muscle cars in the world. The sale will definitely be a show-stopper,” he added.
Discussing Henderson’s background as a top car collection in more detail, officials noted that he has consigned several vehicles with the company, and was part of the “Barrett-Jackson’s Car Search” TV show in 2004.
The show involved teams competing with one another as they searched for and restored vintage vehicles before selling them at a Barrett-Jackson sale.
The teams were spread throughout the nation and Henderson was a member of the Atlanta team, which won.
“The Atlanta team worked extremely hard to bring people a great car,” Henderson noted. “Each team member contributed their knowledge and expertise, and we were able to capture the win in the end.
“I want to share with bidders the same hard work and passion we demonstrated on the show through the collection I’m selling in January,” he added.
The featured vehicles include:
—1971 Plymouth HEMI ‘Cuda coupe
—1970 Chevrolet Camaro "Stage II" Cheverra
—1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28
—1970 Dodge Challenger T/A
—2010 Dodge Challenger
—1969 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible
—1970 Chevrolet Berger Camaro RS/SS
—1970 Plymouth HEMI ‘Cuda coupe
—1970 Plymouth Superbird coupe.
“These muscle cars will definitely be a wonderful addition to any collection because of their desirable sleek and stylish packaging as well as the power under the hood,” Henderson suggested.
“Muscle cars have been a focus of mine for years because you can race or cruise around in these rides and the fun never wears off,” he added.
