GAINESVILLE, Ga. -

Black Book announced Monday it has introduced myUsedCar for Droid. The new app, available through the Android Market, is engineered specifically to maximize speed and ease of use, according to management.

myUsedCar features include four market-driven Black Book vehicle values for more than 18,000 vehicles spanning the last 15 model years; value adjustments for mileage and optional equipment; the ability to adjust values based on region or state; more than 80,000 VIN numbers for fast vehicle retrieval; and an easy-to-use drilldown capability for vehicle lookup.

“As one of the fastest growing segments in the mobile products industry, the Droid provides a perfect platform for Black Book to deliver the timely, independent and accurate values that have made us a cornerstone in the industry,” said Tom Cross, president of Black Book.

“As more and more users turn to their mobile solutions as an integral tool in their professional lives, having the power of Black Book daily values at their fingertips, either at the dealership or the auction lane, provides a fast and easy tool that improves their productivity and decision-making process,” he added.

The company pointed out that beta users of the app expressed “a high degree of satisfaction with the product, noting most specifically the speed and ease of use of the fully resident application.”

Officials went on to say, “Reaction was equally positive about the planned integration of VIN scanner functionality later this year that will be offered as a complimentary upgrade to Droid subscribers.”

The company concluded by revealing that myPowersports and myCollectibleCar apps will launch later this quarter.
