Brasher’s Portland AA Debuts Promotion to Reward Dealers

Brasher’s Portland Auto Auction recently rolled out a new promotion designed to not only show appreciation for its dealer customers, but also help generate customer loyalty, as well.
Under the Dealer Rewards Program, each dealership wishing to take advantage of the promotion is given a “Rewards” card, explained auction sales manager Rob Wassom. The dealership is then given points after every sale based on its activity during the event.
Dealers can then redeem their points and receive such items as auction services, merchandise and fees, as well as hotel and travel cost rebates, he noted.
A part of the program’s launch, the auction held a giveaway for a big jacket, which was directly related to the program.
“We’re all really excited about the new Dealer Rewards Program here at Brasher’s Portland Auto Auction,” Wassom shared. “We wanted to find a way to reward a dealer’s activity at the auction and to promote loyalty at the same time, and we think the Dealer Rewards Program is a great way to do just that, all year long.
"We’ll be rewarding our dealers for what they already do best: consigning, buying and selling vehicles at our weekly auto auction,” he continued.
Wassom added: “It’s all as easy as a swipe of a card.
To monitor point balances, dealers can utilize the kiosk in the auction’s lobby. Moreover, the auction also sends out a monthly statement regarding their account activity.
Sparking City AA Gains New Sale
In other news from another ServNet facility, Sparkling City Auto Auction of San Antonio revealed plans to hold a promotional sale later this month for Santander Consumer Services.
Santander picked the auction to hold the event — which is slated for March 22 — and the auction noted that only two other facilities were chosen by the lender to hold promotional sales this spring.
"We are very pleased to schedule this special promotional sale for Santander Consumer at our new auction facility in San Antonio,” stated Ashley Walker Dietze, the auction’s general manager.
"We are one of only three auctions in the nation to be chosen by Santander for a spring promotion, and our customers are eagerly looking forward to the event,” she added. “We expect to feature approximately 100 cars and trucks from Santander that day … and an overflowing crowd to bid on them!”
For dealers who purchase a Santander unit during the sale, there will be a drawing for a “Texas Caddy” fully loaded golf cart. A Texas barbecue will also be included on the sale day.
"You can’t miss the Texas Caddy when you enter our auction lobby, and it’s creating a lot of buzz among our customers," Dietze shared.
"Like so much of the rest of the country, we’ve had our share of cold weather, ice and snow. I think the Texas Caddy makes everyone yearn for the warmer days of spring and the chance to enjoy being outdoors again,” she continued. “From what I’m hearing, Santander’s lane will be full of enthusiastic dealers who are eager for a first look at Santander’s inventory and a chance to win the Texas Caddy!"
