CARFAX has long been involved in the used-car business with its vehicle history reports and used-vehicle listings.

Now it’s expanding into new cars.

The company said it is now listing new cars to make its platform a “one-stop shop” for consumers looking for a vehicle. According to Cox Automotive’s recently released 2023 Car Buyer Journey Study, a record 68% of car shoppers considered both new and used vehicles.

In a new release, CARFAX said the addition allows car shoppers to go through CARFAX throughout the car buying, owning and selling stages, “from researching what car to choose and selecting the right one, to maintaining and servicing that vehicle, all the way through selling for the best possible price.”

CARFAX, which is celebrating its 40th year in 2024, added used car listings in 2014, and has since added monthly information on the latest available deals, vehicle rankings and reliability data.
