CARMEL, Ind. –
The 2011 ADESA Auction of the Year award was unveiled on Thursday, and taking top honors is ADESA Sarasota.
ADESA president and chief executive officer Tom Caruso shared the news on the company’s Overdrive blog. Caruso traveled to the Florida auction earlier this month and gave the trophy to general manager Jeff York.
“It’s always an honor when a customer recognizes one of our auctions for outstanding service. I like to do the same by awarding an annual ADESA Auction of the Year award,” Caruso wrote in the blog.
“Earlier this month, I went to ADESA Sarasota to present a trophy to Jeff York, auction general manager. Jeff, in turn, then presented the award to his employees. He also gave each and every employee a framed certificate of appreciation for all of their hard work,” Caruso continued.
“It was a fun visit, and I really enjoyed spending the day with everyone at ADESA Sarasota,” he added.
Caruso went on to share more about his day at ADESA Sarasota, which included a lunch for employees served by the managers.

And in keeping with the Sunshine State, ADESA-themed beach towels were handed out, as well.
“Congratulations to Jeff and the entire team at ADESA Sarasota,” Caruso stated.
