Charleston AA to Celebrate 10th Anniversary with $1M Sweepstakes, Sale

MONCKS CORNER, S.C. -
Charleston Auto Auction is celebrating a decade of operations with its 10th Anniversary Sales later this winter that will include a $1 million sweepstakes as well as a giveaway of $50,000 in cash and prizes.
The event commemorates what the auction says has been 10 years of significant growth. The one-lane facility that debuted in 2001 ran, at most, 50 vehicles in a typical sale when it started up.
These days, the auction includes six lanes and runs more than 700 units per week.
Charleston AA counts franchise dealers, independent dealers, wholesalers as well as bank/lease/rental and donation organizations among its various clients.
“I want to thank all of our clients for making us the auction we are today. I especially want to thank our independent dealers for their loyalty,” stated Keith Lelux, the American Auto Auction Group’s chief operation officer.
“There is no way we would be where we are now if it wasn’t for you. I want everyone to know that no matter how large we become, our beliefs will never change,” he continued. “Excellence in customer service will always be the standard for Charleston Auto Auction.”
Moving on, the auction explained how the $1 million sweepstakes will be handled.
Any time a dealer buys a vehicle between the start of the promotion (which was Jan. 7) through March 18, the individual is given a ticket to drop in the tumbler for the drawing that will take place at the conclusion of the March 18 sale.
The auction will allow 24 dealers to spin the prize wheel, where they have the chance to win $1,000.
Charleston AA will then take three of the $1,000 winners and allow them the chance to win the $1 million. Those three contestants each will take their pick from 100 envelopes, one of which is the $1 million winner.
If a contestant pulls one of the 99 “Sorry Better Luck Next Time” envelopes, the dealer still gets a $5,000 consolation check.
