MONCKS CORNER, S.C. -

Charleston Auto Auction’s “Hoedown Mega Sale” last week not only set a record for new-car dealer trades consigned, the event raised more than $2,000 for the Ronald McDonald House of Charleston, S.C.

Included in the event were more than 600 dealers, 1,400 vehicles and $50,000 worth of cash and prizes doled out. There were more than 400 new-car dealer trades consigned, which is an all-time high.

“All our dealers had a great time and many vehicles were bought and sold,” stated Laura Taylor, the auction’s general manager.

When the event kicked off, the auction presented a check to the Ronald McDonald House with the donation collected via 50/50 raffles leading up to the sale and a matching contribution from Charleston AA.

The proceeds were donated to the aid of seriously ill children and their families.

“The Ronald McDonald House is a great organization, and both the auction and our dealers were happy to help them,” Taylor added.
