MONCKS CORNER, S.C. — Charleston Auto Auction announced it has received the 2009 National Auction of the Year Award from MarkOne Financial.

Jason Ghioto, collection/remarketing manager for MarkOne was on hand to present the award.

"Overall service and, of course, retention are the two top categories we base auction performance. Charleston Auto Auction and its staff consistently outperform the competition. When it comes down to it, our cars just bring more money at Charleston Auto Auction," said Ghioto.

Meanwhile, Chris Wise, national remarketing manager for Charleston AA, pointed out, "This is a great day for Charleston Auto Auction. We are very pleased that we have been able to build brand awareness with MarkOne's portfolio.

"Whenever a MarkOne unit runs through our arena, you are sure to find a group of dealers bidding on it," he noted. "Jason and his staff are a pleasure to work with and I am looking forward to both of us having another successful year."

Explaining why the company elected to work with Charleston AA, Ghioto indicated, "When Charleston Auto Auction told us about their 95 percent buyback program, I thought this would be a great way to stand behind our vehicles and to also give a little back to our dealers.

"For a dealer to be able to offer a vehicle for sale over a two-month period, and then have the option of returning it for at least 95 percent of their original purchase price is astonishing. This is something every dealer can appreciate, especially with the drastic ups and downs of the economy," he continued.

Charleston AA is a member of the American Auto Auction Group. The auction holds a sale every Friday at 10 a.m., with a damaged and disabled sale on the second and last Friday of every month at 9 a.m. For more information, visit www.charlestonautoauction.com.
