AUBURN HILLS, Mich. –
Chrysler has a new head of its certified pre-owned operations, the automaker revealed to Auto Remarketing this week. Taking over for Lisa Way — who has become the automaker’s senior manager of revenue management — is Eric Swanson.
According to the latest statistics from Autodata Corp., Chrysler saw its CPO sales climb 9.8 percent on a year-over-year basis in March, as it moved 10,700 certified vehicles.
First-quarter certified sales reached 27,898 units for the automaker, marking a 14.6-percent gain from the year-ago period.
Chrysler’s best-selling CPO brand in March was Dodge, which sold 4,116 units (up 3 percent from March 2010). The Jeep brand moved 3,456 certified vehicles during the month, which was 14.4 percent stronger than March of last year.
CPO sales for the Chrysler brand hit 3,128 units, which was a 14.9-percent improvement.
