Copart Announces Florida Growth

Continuing to expand its presence in the Sunshine State, Copart said Wednesday that the company has added another facility in Florida, this time opening one in Homestead.
This brings the total number of Copart facilities for that state up to 13. Copart now has 153 facilities across the globe.
The facility is located on a 29-acre site, said chief executive officer Jay Adair, who also indicated that the state’s Southern tip will be the territory.
With another facility in South Florida, Copart said it will be better positioned to handle more damaged vehicles following disasters, such as hurricanes, which are quite common in that area of the U.S.
“This new facility allows us to be closer to vehicles so we can pick them up faster and reduce towing costs,” Adair noted. “With the additional capacity this facility offers, Copart continues to provide legendary service to our sellers and members — even in catastrophe situations.”
