DAA Northwest Broadens Remarketing Relationship with Harley-Davidson Financial Services
SPOKANE, Wash. — DAA Northwest is ready to enhance its motorsports offerings through the remarketing agreement with Harley-Davidson Financial Services that originally began in 2007.
Starting in July, auction management indicated its Rock, Roll and Rally program for motorsports units will kick off as a part of its 15th annual Rock & Roll Sale. The July 15 event is scheduled to include more than 100 open sale units from Harley-Davidson Financial Services.
The special program is set to continue on Aug. 18 when DAA presents a two-day motorsports sale and authorized Harley-Davidson dealer auction training program. Dealers can attend an auction education session that will include information on current market conditions, profit potential of pre-owned product, marketing used product and more.
While at DAA, these dealers also can obtain pointers on assessing bike values and take part in a mock auction prior to the live sale.
That evening, DAA indicated a closed factory sale is expected to include more than 100 units.
The next day, another 100 or more units will be in the lanes for an open sale as a part of a 2,000-unit vehicle auction.
"Our goal with Rock, Roll and Rally is to bring authorized Harley-Davidson dealers who have never been to an auction to DAA," explained Bob McConkey, DAA's president.
"Together with Harley-Davidson Financial Services, we can show them why using the auction and its associated online tools makes such good business sense," McConkey added.
David Woods, national auction sales manager for Harley-Davidson Financial Services, applauded DAA for this initiative at a facility that's been moving motorsports units since 1992.
"While we have seen demand for our inventory continue to grow amongst certain authorized Harley-Davidson dealers, we have noted that many others are just beginning to embrace the advantages of using an auction to acquire desirable inventory," Woods shared
"That said, we've launched a nationwide effort to educate our dealers about the benefits of wholesale auctions," Wood continued. "Teaming up with DAA Northwest and partnering on a two-month promotion that capitalizes on their signature Rock & Roll Sales event makes perfect sense."
This year's Rock & Roll Sale is supposed to include more than 4,000 units moving through the lanes over two days as well as an invitation-only performance by Joan Jett and The Blackhearts.
"It's our way of saying thank-you to our customers," McConkey insisted. "And it's more fun than you'll ever have at work."
