DAA/OKC Secures U.S. Govt. Contract

Dealers Auto Auction of Oklahoma City recently shared that it has secured 2012 contracts to sell and marshall vehicles for the U.S. General Services Administration.
While DAA/OKC already has a contract with GSA that started last year and runs through 2015, it still submits a proposal each year to GSA, which evaluates the offer heading into that next year, explained DAA/OKC general manager Bruce Beam.
“We’re off to a great start in 2012 at DAA/OKC, and the GSA contract award is one more reason to celebrate,” Beam stated. “Already we’re seeing more cars in the lanes and more buyers with their hands high in the air, and we expect the momentum to keep building.”
He added: “This year we sharpened our pencils and submitted a best and final offer to GSA for 2012 that hit the mark. We expect to see GSA units on the ground soon and look forward to opening our doors to both dealers and the public for some exciting sale events.”
Explaining how it works, officials noted that DAA/OKC sells the government’s vehicles on Thursdays after its usual consignment sale.
"GSA sales can be as challenging as they are exciting," Beam stated.
“But our experience selling for a wide variety of national consignors has honed our skills in adapting to a variety of scenarios and customer requirements, and we know that GSA’s buyers will find a level of service at DAA/OKC that they have not experienced anywhere else,” he continued.
