MONROE, Ohio -
Dealer Specialties revealed earlier this week that dealer customers can utilize the company’s Inventory Manager tool as an app on their iPhones.
Dealer customers can find the Inventory Manager iPhone app — which is the debut mobile application from Dealer Specialties — at the iTunes App Store. The company is not charging any additional monthly fees for the product.
“We realize that our dealer customers are looking for ways to increase employee productivity, boost efficiency and improve the customer experience,” stated Glen Garvin, general manager for parent company Dominion Dealer Solutions.
“By using the Inventory Manager iPhone app, Dealer Specialties customers can access real-time information easily and quickly to search, scan, upload and send inventory data,” he added.
Officials said that the app can be used by dealership sales representatives to search current inventory and reach out to customers via e-Brochures and video links.
The app can also prove quite useful at the auction for used-car managers and wholesale buyers, officials said. They can use the tool to scan VIN bar codes on vehicles, upload images and input pricing details without having to leave the auction.
Dealer Specialties said customers will be given logins and passwords to use the IVM app.
Sharing a bit of commentary on the dealer side of things, Elijah Miller, who is the Internet manager for Gainesville Nissan, noted: “The new IVM mobile application gives me the power of inventory management at my fingertips.
“Dealer Specialties has helped to simplify my inventory management process by delivering a mobile application that is functional and easy to use for my busy business,” Miller added.
