Hallett, Silverstein receive industry honors at CAR event

LAS VEGAS –
KAR Auction Services chairman and chief executive officer Jim Hallett has won the Ed Bobit Industry Icon Award, which is presented by IARA and NAAA.
This honor was announced Tuesday afternoon during the Conference of Automotive Remarketing in Las Vegas.
Tim Meta and Tony Long of IARA along with Frank Hackett and Warren Clauss of NAAA made the presentation during the event.
It was also announced Tuesday that Linda Silverstein, longtime general manager of remarketing and rental operations at Ford, was this year’s recipient of the IARA Circle of Excellence Award.
Silverstein retired from Ford in late September, after 35 years with the automaker.
