Along with some website modifications, the Hertz Rent2Buy program expanded to incorporate four more states late last week, bringing the total number of locations to 22 states nationwide.

States that now offer Hertz Rent2Buy are Minnesota, Nevada, Oklahoma and Oregon.

The program already was in operation in Alabama, Alaska, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Illinois, Kentucky, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Tennessee, Texas and Utah.

In addition to its expansion, Hertz Rent2Buy executives revealed they’ve launched a completely redesigned homepage. The look is meant to provide optimal access for customers looking to buy a vehicle.

The company pointed out that customers can search for used vehicles by model and price, make and body type more efficiently. The website also now has a featured used vehicle section, which highlights some of the most generous deals offered through the Hertz Rent2Buy program.

Executives reiterated Hertz Rent2Buy can allow customers to reserve a rental vehicle they might want to buy for a three-day test. Customers have full use of the vehicle for up to three days, and if they choose to purchase the vehicle, they can keep it and pay the listed price without any haggling and the rental fee is waived.

Brands associated with the program include Audi, BMW, Chevrolet, Ford, Honda, Hyundai, Jeep, Kia, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, Nissan and Volkswagen.

Hertz chairman and chief executive officer Mark Frissora believes the modifications made late last week strengthens Hertz Rent2Buy an option for potential buyers.

“We are excited to expand Hertz Rent2Buy’s availability to four new states and continue our commitment to provide customers with the ability to purchase a used car while offering Hertz’s premium service,” Frissora stated.

“Offering the program to more states across the country gives us a strong foothold in supplying customers with what they need in terms of buying a used car,” he added.
