Insurance Auto Auctions Plans to Find Potential Buyers at Sturgis Bike Rally
WESTCHESTER, Ill. — Insurance Auto Auctions this week highlighted more plans to connect with motorcycle enthusiasts, this time at one of the largest annual bike events anywhere.
The company will have a presence during the 70th annual Sturgis Bike Rally in South Dakota, an event set for Aug. 9 to 15. A team of personnel will be stationed at Black Hills Harley Davidson in Rapid City, S.D.
"Sturgis Bike Week is widely known as the largest motorcycle event in the world, and Insurance Auto Auctions is excited to be a part of it again this year," explained chief executive officer Tom O'Brien.
"We continue to participate in large bike rallies like this one throughout the country where our customers can tell us what they're looking for at our salvage auctions," O'Brien continued. "Earlier this year we participated at both Daytona and Laconia rallies."
Management reiterated that six Insurance Auto Auction locations reside in states that permit public bidding.
In the event a particular state does not permit public bidding, executives reminded potential buyers they may be able to buy through RideSafely.com, a broker that can purchase on behalf of public buyers.
"Additional restrictions may apply, so public buyers should confirm purchasing eligibility and vehicle registration requirements prior to the sale," auction officials stressed.
IAA also mentioned the 15 participating locations to host the Big Bad Bike Sales include: Atlanta East; Baton Rouge; Dallas; Fremont, Calif.; Hartford, Conn.; Houston North; Indianapolis; Kansas City; Las Vegas; Los Angeles; Minneapolis; Nashville; Orlando-North; Phoenix; and Taunton, Mass.
