IRVINE, Calif. -
Kelley Blue Book revealed last week that it has launched a mobile application that can be utilized on the Windows Phone 7.
Car buyers and sellers can use the app to check out KBB Values for both new and used vehicles. This information consists of such details as MSRP, invoice, fair purchase values, certified pre-owned values, suggested retail prices, private-party values and trade-in values. Moreover, the information that users can access through the app gives them negotiation tools, according to KBB.
Additionally, the tool provides maps and direction to local dealerships and allows for viewing of 360-degree vehicle photographs. Moreover, users can tap into new-vehicle videos as well as Kbb.com expert reviews.
There are also Twitter feeds for Kbb.com that are offered through the app.
“When Microsoft gave us the opportunity to create an app for the all-new Windows Phone 7 platform, it was a no-brainer. We were honored to be chosen as a premier app by Microsoft for this project,” explained Justin Yaros, executive vice president of product design and development for Kbb.com.
“Kelley Blue Book is proactive in providing shoppers the information they need to help lessen the car-buying headache,” he continued. “Having trusted Kelley Blue Book Values, reviews and dealer locator information readily available on Windows Phone 7 gives consumers the insight they need from any location.”
Todd Brix, senior director, Windows Phone Marketplace at Microsoft, added: “Windows Phone 7 is a fresh start for Microsoft in the smartphone market, and we wanted to include a number of valuable apps in the Marketplace hub with its launch.
“Kbb.com’s easy-to-use app fit well with our strategy and benefits mobile car buyers with a plethora of essential automotive information,” he concluded.
