FREDERICK, Md. -

The National Auto Auction Association revealed last week it has brought in Washington, D.C. firm Federal Advocates, Inc. as lobbyists for the association in the nation’s capitol.

Federal Advocates — which serves in the same role for the National Independent Auto Dealers Association — will represent NAAA’s interests on Capitol Hill and work with lawmakers, regulators and the White House.

Managing partner for the firm is Sante Esposito, whose background in federal advocacy goes back more than a decade. Esposito has worked in the congressional realm for more than 23 years, a large chunk of that being in transportation-related fields.

"This is something that NAAA has been discussing for a year, as we saw the increasing value of having a physical presence in D.C. as we continue to work closely on legislative issues with NIADA,” stated NAAA chief executive officer Frank Hackett.

“They will be our eyes and ears on The Hill, will attend hearings, committee meetings and work with the White House, Congress and regulatory agencies,” he added.
