NADA’s Dealership Workforce Study Deadline Extended

Thanks to strong participation numbers from dealers, the National Automobile Dealers Assocation announced today that it has extended the deadline for members of the NADA and American Truck Dealers to participate in the NADA’s Dealership Workforce Study to May 15.
Leaders from both NADA and ATD are asking members to take part in NADA’s new Dealership Workforce Study that will analyze employee compensation, benefits, turnover and other data.
Previously, the participation deadline was tomorrow.
“So far, we’ve had a great response to the study. We do not want dealers to miss out on the benefits of participating,” said Michelle Primm, chair of NADA’s Dealership Operations Committee. “We’re extending the deadline so that every NADA and ATD member has the opportunity to be represented in this study.”
Provided for free to participating dealers will be the Basic Report comparing their individual dealership to the regional and national industry as well as the Driven Management Guide summary report. Through the report, dealers can tap into data that can help them make competitive compensation and benefits decisions. Dealers can also use the report to enhance their recruitment efforts.
There is no cost to participate in the study.
“It’s fast and easy to participate,” added Primm, a new-car dealer in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. “Dealers have told us that the entire process, including responding to the online survey and uploading payroll data, takes less than an hour to complete.”
NADA 20 Group member Jeffrey Weber — president and general manager of Anderson-Weber, Inc. in Dubuque, Iowa — says he and his office manager spent about an hour compiling the information for two dealerships, completing the online survey and uploading the payroll data files.
“The more data collected, the better the final output will be for dealers,” stated Weber, who also is encouraging dealers to submit their data. “The study will be a useful tool when looking at employee compensation and benefits packages.”
The NADA University staff will work with dealership chains to provide an aggregate pull of their payroll data, instead of submitting data separately for individual dealerships.
NADA pointed out that dealers who do not participate in the survey will not be eligible to receive the comparative Dealership Workforce Study reports but can purchase the Driven management guide.
