OVERLAND PARK, Kan. -

NCM Associates announced the date and location for the launch of its newest training offering, Deep-Dive Seminar for General Managers.

Organizers explained the week-long seminar scheduled for April 16–20 in Dallas features three separate sessions targeting competencies meant to aid general managers in maximizing their effectiveness in the dealership.

According to Garry House, director of the NCM Institute Center for Automotive Retail Excellence, the faculty identified the need for more focused attention on leadership development, integrated marketing concepts and the fundamentals of service and parts department management after training hundreds of general managers in its Principles of General Management courses over the past two years.

House will be teaching sessions titled, “Leading Your Dealership Team to Success” and “A Primer for Service and Parts Department Management.”

Meanwhile, Ron Wheeler, president of Wheeler Advertising, will be teaching a session titled, “How to Advertise in a Complex Marketplace: Integration is the Key.”

House explained Wheeler was picked to lead the development effort for the marketing integration session because of his extensive experience working with automotive dealerships to enhance their advertising effectiveness across all mediums.

“He came highly recommended, not just as an agency executing integrated marketing plans on behalf of his clients, but for his ability to articulate the principles and concepts of effective marketing integration,” House stressed.

NCM president and chief executive officer Paul Faletti Jr. introduced the new Deep-Dive Seminar for General Managers in a video announcement where he recognized the NCM Institute not just for training thousands of dealers and managers as leaders within the automotive industry, but for identifying and addressing critical areas of concern they are facing in the retail operating environment.

House elaborated about the regional seminar format saying, “While the core curriculum of the NCM Institute features comprehensive 2½– to 3½-day management training classes, the regional programs are designed as focused immersion programs delivered in day-and-a-half sessions.

The regional format offers travel efficiencies, as well, allowing multiple participants from the dealership to attend.”
