New CPO Leader Takes Helm at Toyota

There is a new operations manager for Toyota Certified Used Vehicles, Auto Remarketing learned recently. Appointed to the position is Sal Berardesco, whose prior role was as marketing planning manager.
Berardesco replaces Jason Cropper, who was appointed Lexus dealer advertising manager. In the new role, Berardesco reports to Tom DeLuise, national TCUV/TRAC sales and operations manager.
“While Jason has only been in the department for eight months, he has made valuable contributions and a positive impact both at our national office and in the field,” DeLuise told Auto Remarketing on Friday.
“He worked to understand what was needed from both the dealer’s perspective and to assist our regional TCUV people in getting the job done,” DeLuise continued. “He was successful in upgrading and improving all aspects of our certified program. During his time in the position, TCUV set eight best-ever monthly sales records.”
In his new post, Cropper reports to Steve Jett, who is the national marketing and communications manager for Lexus.
Meanwhile, discussing Berardesco’s experience in more detail, DeLuise noted that Berardesco served in the customer service division before joining the marketing department. He also has field experience working in Toyota’s New York and Los Angeles regional offices, in addition to the Lexus Western area office.
“His past experience will be extremely beneficial to the TCUV group and the field organization,” DeLuise noted.
