ARLINGTON, Texas — The National Independent Automobile Dealers Association recently appointed a new chief operating officer as well as a publications editor.

Hired to serve in the COO post was Davis DeBrady, replacing J.D. Wilson, who retired. Meanwhile, NIADA has named Michael Harbour as its publications editor, a position that had previously been unfilled.

Looking at these new NIADA officials' experiences in more detail, DeBrady spent roughly 23 years heading up convention and visitors bureaus in various cities, including his most recent post in Arlington, Texas.

Prior to his time working with convention and visitors bureaus, DeBrady served as an accounting executive with the City of Sacramento.

Moving on, Harbour's most recent position was as the communications officer with the Montana Association of Counties.

Other previous positions include working in corporate communications with Electronic Data Systems, serving as an editorial intern with the Associated Press and as a staff writer for the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway.

In Harbour's new role, his duties include heading up the editor of Used Car Dealer magazine, NIADA's Annual Used Car Industry Report and the magazines under the association's state publications program.

Continuing on, NIADA also announced that Chase Tidwell, who has been with the association nine years, was appointed to serve as vice president of media services, where he will continue to oversee the sales team for NIADA Services Inc.
