Nichols Outlines Goals as ServNet President

As ServNet’s president for the next two years, Charles Nichols says he understands his objective is to represent the network as a buyer’s and seller’s best choice as an auction partner.
Nichols recently outlined a series of goals for the 28 auctions whose geographic footprint is spread across the U.S.
“I say without hesitation that ServNet auctions are among the best facilities in the country, offering a level of service that cannot be matched, backed by years of experience that spans generations,” Nichols declared.
“As our industry grows and changes, ServNet auctions are on the front edge, developing new and improved products and services and delivering the best retentions in the nation,” he continued.
“It is due to ServNet’s commitment to service and our owners’ commitment to the industry that our auctions have reported a good year, in spite of the turbulence of the market,” Nichols added.
The new ServNet president went to explain what he considers when pondering the future.
“Looking forward, we are committed to continued growth and improvement with an immediate goal to strengthening Internet channels,” Nichols stressed.
“Technology is more important than ever in today’s world, and ServNet auctions are determined to make buying and selling a seamless process for all our customers whether they are in the auction lane or participating online,” he continued.
“Days to sell and retentions are top priority for our consignors,” Nichols insisted. “With our Internet tools, we are able to sell vehicles 24/7 to a market that extends far beyond a traditional auction arena. Analytics prove that ServNet auctions bring the strongest possible buying power to the auction lane, in all areas of the country.”
Nichols indicated that another of ServNet’s objectives for customer service will be to continue to benefit new and used dealers across the country in the coming year.
“Make no mistake about it,” Nichols declared, “Dealers are the backbone of our business and our partnership with both franchise and independent dealers is of paramount importance to ServNet auctions. We will continue to succeed in the marketplace as we look for new and innovative ways to develop and maintain strong relationships with all our customers.
“I’m proud that the BSCAmerica facilities are numbered among the ServNet auctions, and am honored to serve as ServNet’s president for the next two years,” Nichols went on to say. “It is exciting to work with the other ServNet auction owners, to share ideas, formulate best practices and work together to make the buying and selling experience at our auctions a pleasure for every customer.”
As president of BSCAmerica, Nichols heads a company that includes two ServNet auction locations: Bel Air Auto Auction in Maryland, and Tallahassee Auto Auction in Florida.
Bel Air Auto Auction, the company’s flagship facility, is one of the longest-running auctions in the country, having been founded in 1947.
Nichols is a second-generation auction owner, working closely with his father, industry veteran Raymond Nichols, who serves as BSCAmerica’s chairman of the board, and his sister Michelle Nichols-Neff, who is the company’s vice president of marketing.
“We have watched ServNet’s growth over the years and have seen it develop into a wonderful group of auctions whose owners share ideas, services and networking opportunities,” Charles Nichols said.
“Our auctions became part of the ServNet group in 2008, and since then, our respect for the group has grown even more. We are impressed with the auctions, with the other owners, with their operations and with the synergy in the group that evolves from shared best practices,” he concluded.
