DULUTH, Ga. –
This week, Asbury Automotive Group announced the close of the sale of its International, Hino, Isuzu, UD, IC Bus and Workhorse franchises to Rush Truck Centers of Georgia, a subsidiary of Rush Enterprises.
In addition, Asbury also revealed the close of the sale of its Peterbilt franchise, which includes the dealership in Kennesaw, Ga., to Peterbilt Motors Co., a subsidiary of PACCAR.
“With the closing of these two transactions, Asbury has fully exited all of its heavy truck operations,” company officials stated.
Rush Truck Centers explained its acquisition expands the company’s contiguous network of facilities in the Southeast, increasing its total to 65 locations in 14 states.
“We are pleased to support customers in the Atlanta market with International, Hino, Isuzu, UD, IC Bus and Workhorse brands and grow our Navistar Division to 15 full service dealerships,” noted W.M. “Rusty” Rush, president and chief executive officer of Rush Enterprises.
