AutoNation’s vast collection of dealerships has grown again.

The national retailer announced it has acquired two more luxury stores in Chicago, purchasing Fletcher Jones Audi and Mercedes-Benz of Chicago from Fletcher Jones Automotive Group.

The additions, which represent some $325 million in revenue and 4,500 retail new and used vehicle sales annually, give AutoNation 10 locations in the Chicago area, including two Audi stores and three Mercedes-Benz stores.

The company operates more than 300 dealerships nationwide.

“We are excited to expand our presence in the Chicago market with the acquisition of these flagship dealerships,” AutoNation CEO Mike Manley said. “These acquisitions will enhance our luxury brand portfolio, deepen our presence in a key market and create scale that drives both customer experience and shareholder value.”

The Presidio Group, which represented AutoNation in the transaction, said in a news release Fletcher Jones will concentrate on its 13 dealerships in California and Nevada, including nine luxury-brand stores.

“Fletcher Jones rarely sells stores, but when The Presidio Group approached us about this opportunity, we listened,” Fletcher Jones president Keith May said. “Those dealerships are outside our core West Coast markets. … We thank AutoNation’s leadership for their partnership and wish the team members and customers at our Chicago stores continued success under their stewardship.”
