AutoNation offered an update on the progress of its longstanding Drive Pink initiative for 2025, noting the fundraising efforts of the company, its dealers and their employees and customers have generated more than $2 million so far this year to support pediatric cancer causes.
Those efforts include a nationwide fundraising campaign for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and the donation of a new 2025 Chrysler Pacifica Select passenger van to the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation to support its operations, as well as distributing thousands of Totes for Hope as part of DRV PNK’s year-round commitment to drive out cancer.
Through DRV PNK, AutoNation supports cancer prevention, education, research, treatment and survivorship programs. Since it was created in 2015, DRV PNK has raised and donated more than $45 million to advance cancer initiatives, including $4 million in 2024, and delivered more than 36,000 tote bags to adult and pediatric cancer patients at hospitals and treatment centers nationwide.
DRV PNK began with a focus on fighting breast cancer and has since grown to fight all cancers. AutoNation has donated more than $8 million to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, funding more than 30 research grants and nearly 165,000 hours of research.
“As a company, we stand with patients and families in the fight against cancer,” AutoNation CEO Mike Manley said. “But our impact is not limited to one month or one campaign. DRV PNK is a year-round focus that is powered by the dedication of our associates, the generosity of our customers and the strength of our partners, all united in driving toward a cancer-free future.”
In a news release, the company said customers at AutoNation’s 300-plus locations can add a donation at checkout to support cancer-related causes — beginning in October, those donations will go to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation for the rest of the year.
Since AutoNation partnered with the Breast Cancer Research Foundation nine years ago, customers have contributed nearly $2 million at the register.
In addition to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, the Breast Cancer Research Foundation and the American Cancer Society, DRV PNK supports patient care and research through organizations including the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation, ZERO Prostate Cancer, Cleveland Clinic Florida, Cancer League of Colorado, Providence St. Jude Medical Center in Orange County, Calif., Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, CURE Childhood Cancer in Atlanta, Wipe Out Kids Cancer in Dallas and Phoenix Children’s Hospital.
