Avis Budget Group plans to give Amazon customers a little something extra. The rental company revealed it will reward Amazon members with special perks when they rent a car through Avis. 

Now, Amazon customers who book an Avis vehicle will not only save money on their rental, but they will also be sent an Amazon.com gift card valued at 10 percent of the rental price, the company shared. 

And later this month, when Amazon shoppers book an Avis vehicle using the Avis skill for Amazon Alexa, these renters will receive an Amazon.com gift card valued at 20 percent of their rental. 

“Amazon customers are accustomed to convenient and on-demand services, and Avis Budget Group is pleased to be able to add transportation to the mix,” Beth Kinerk, senior vice president, sales at Avis Budget Group, shared in a press release announcing the reward program. 

 “As digital technology evolves, we are able to offer increasingly seamless travel experiences for our customers, and hope these great incentives encourage more people to try our new offerings, including our Amazon Alexa booking tool. We are excited to work with Amazon to offer their customers a valuable benefit when they rent with Avis,” she continued. 

The Avis — Amazon partnership began back when Avis first launched its skill for Amazon Alexa. Using the skill, Avis customers can make a rental reservation, review current or past reservations and request an e-receipt of their last rental. 

Voice-controlled access to the car rental booking process can serve to cut down on rental times, and make the rental process more convenient for travelers.
