Best-Ever CPO Daily Sales Rate Reached Last Month

WOODCLIFF LAKE, N.J. –
In addition to achieving a best-ever daily selling rate last month, the certified pre-owned business had its strongest February on record and beat year-ago sales by more than 14 percent, according to Autodata Corp.
Announcing industry-wide CPO numbers on Wednesday, Autodata said there were 179,042 certified sales in February, a 14.1-percent year-over-year hike and a 7.7-percent month-over-month improvement.
With 24 selling days last month, the daily selling rate came in at 7,460. It has never been higher, according to Autodata. For comparison, there were 24 selling days in February 2013, as well, and 25 selling days in January.
Through two months of 2014, there have been 345,355 CPO sales, which is up 12.3 percent from the year-ago sum.
