WINDSOR, Ontario –
Chrysler Group revealed over the holidays it will be making a recall in Canada regarding 2013 Ram 1500 pickups.
The 3,021 trucks being recalled need to have their daytime running lights — which are required by Canadian law — activated.
Explaining the recall, the OEM shared that production schedules supplied to Chrysler Group assembly plants did not specify the trucks were destined for Canada.
Consequently, the DRL program in the trucks’ headlamp systems were not activated.
That said, normal headlight function is not affected.
Fewer than 300 of the affected models are in customers’ hands, and Chrysler Group is unaware of any related accidents or injuries.
