Lithia & Driveway has bolstered its presence in the Dallas-Fort Worth area with the purchase of Rockwall Hyundai, the retailer said Tuesday.

The purchase of the Rockwall, Texas dealership adds roughly $75 million in annualized revenue to the dealer group. So far this year, Lithia has added expected annualized revenues of $915 million.

Lithia financed the purchase with existing on-balance sheet capacity.

“Adding Rockwall Hyundai to the Lithia & Driveway network strengthens our presence in the growing Dallas-Fort Worth market and creates greater network density for our customers,” Lithia president & CEO Bryan DeBoer said in a news release.

“This acquisition reflects our disciplined and strategic approach to expansion, and we remain focused on growing strong teams, high-quality franchises, and providing seamless ownership experiences throughout the car buying process.”

Lithia’s dealership network in the state includes the Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston, Austin, Corpus Christi, San Antonio and West Texas markets, among other communities.

Crossroads adds Florida to footprint

Further East, Crossroads Automotive Group has made its debut in Florida.

The North Carolina-based retailer, which now includes locations in Florida and the Carolinas, announced Saturday it has acquired Bartow Ford.

The Bartow, Fla., dealership is the 15th Ford dealership to join Crossroads.

“We truly believe God led us to this store and this community,” Crossroads Automotive Group president Allen Boyd said in a news release. “We could not be more grateful to welcome Bartow Ford into the Crossroads family.”

Boyd added: “We are not in the car business as much as we are in the people business, meaning we are only as good as our team. The Lord has blessed us with this dealership and its amazing employees. We are excited to welcome these talented individuals to the Crossroads team and we look forward to continuing the exceptional service Bartow’s customers expect and deserve.”

Crossroads Automotive Group chief operating officer Greg Vandeloo added: “”Our goal is to keep the dedicated employees and core values that have made Bartow Ford a cornerstone of this community for so long.

“We bring the scale and support of a large automotive group, but our heart is entirely focused on maintaining the local relationships, exceptional customer service, and community traditions that make this store truly unique.”
