A small California dealership group is putting its trust into a new Kia store.

Trust Auto Group, a locally owned Southern California business, has acquired Palmdale Kia in Palmdale, Calif., from Nouri/Shaver Automotive Group, according to Performance Brokerage Services, which brokered the deal.

Trust, led by president Edgar Castellanos, now operates five locations in Palmdale, Costa Mesa and Lancaster, representing Honda, Subaru, Kia and Lotus. Its new addition will be renamed Trust Kia of Palmdale.

Nouri/Shaver, co-owned by Bob Nouri and Pete Shaver and led by CEO Armina Mgerian, operates 16 franchised dealerships in California and Oregon, employing more than 2,000 and generating more than $2 billion in revenue last year.

Sale of Ontario store ends McGee family’s 60-year legacy

A 60-year family legacy in a Canadian city ended with the sale of Jack McGee Chevrolet Buick GMC Cadillac in Peterborough, Ontario, from the McGee family to Harwood Auto Group.

The transaction was announced by Performance Brokerage Services, which advised on the deal.

The dealership was founded in 1963 by Jack McGee and moved to its current location in 1965. Jack’s sons, David and J.R. McGee, took over the business 25 years ago.

Harwood Auto Group, led by Bill Campbell, Rory Campbell and Curtis Clifford, now owns and operates four Ontario locations, in Cobourg, Haliburton, Parry Sound and Peterborough, all selling General Motors brands
