A New York-area dealership illustrated its commitment to its local community with a contribution aimed at supporting its youth.

Rockland Nissan in Blauvelt, N.Y., donated $2,500 to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Rockland County for the organization’s mentorship programs, empowering young people and providing them with the tools to succeed.

“Community support is at the heart of what we do at Rockland Nissan,” said Scott Corbett, the dealership’s new general manager, “and we’re thrilled to contribute to these incredible organizations that make such a positive impact on the lives of so many people at Rockland Nissan.

“It’s important to us to be actively involved in the communities we serve, and we’re proud to support Big Brothers Big Sisters of Rockland County.”

Rockland Nissan has been selected for Nissan’s Global Award for three consecutive years as a top-performer in sales and customer satisfaction. The dealership said just 50 dealerships out of Nissan’s more than 1,200 worldwide receive the honor.

Rockland Nissan said it’s the top volume Nissan dealership in New York’s Rockland, Westchester and Orange counties as well as Manhattan and nearby Bergen County, N.J.

“Being a part of such a dedicated and customer-focused team is a privilege,” Corbett said. “Our success, including receiving the Global Award for three years running, wouldn’t be possible without the support of our customers and the incredible community around us. This donation is just one of the many ways we aim to give back and make a difference.”
