Florida and Georgia are neighbors, but for a dealership group based in Middle Georgia, a store in Central Florida felt like a reach.

So Jackson Automotive Group, which operates three locations in Macon, Ga., made the decision to sell Jackson Kia in Cocoa, Fla. — its lone dealership outside that home market — to Ocala, Fla.-based Jenkins Auto Group, according to The Presidio Group, which represented the seller in the transaction.

In a news release, Presidio said the sale was a strategic divestiture based on location rather than brand.

“Our commitment to Kia remains strong, and we look forward to partnering with the brand again when the right opportunity comes along,” said Jim Jackson III, Jackson Automotive’s third-generation president. “This transaction allows our terrific team in Cocoa to move forward with a buyer who will take care of the people, customers and community we’ve been proud to serve.”

The new addition, which has been renamed Jenkins Kia of Cocoa, gives Jenkins Auto 24 dealership locations in Florida, along with two collision centers. It’s the group’s fourth Kia store and second location in Cocoa, adding to a recently acquired Honda dealership.

“Acquisitions offering this combination of brand, location and growth potential are rare,” Jenkins Auto Group dealer principal Don Jenkins said. “Adding Jackson Kia in Cocoa is a natural next step for our expanding group and deepens our commitment to customers on Florida’s Space Coast.”

Czinger brings more horsepower to Orange County dealership

A performance-car dealership just added a little more horsepower to its operation.

OK, a lot more. As in, 1,200-plus horsepower more.

Newport Beach Automotive Group has partnered with Czinger Vehicles to open Czinger Newport Beach in Irvine, Calif., where it will sell the Czinger 21C, touted by its manufacturer as a street-legal hypercar with a top speed in the 250 mph range.

Newport Beach Automotive Group operates a 60,000-square-foot facility that includes dealerships for top performance brands Automobil Pininfarina, Bugatti, Koenigsegg, Lamborghini and McLaren.

“Czinger represents the future of high‑performance engineering,” dealer principal Pietro Frigerio said, “and bringing a brand this innovative to our clients is something we’re truly proud of. Newport Beach is the perfect setting for a company that’s redefining what’s possible in automotive design and performance.”

In a news release, Czinger said the new dealership introduces the 21C to Orange County, “at the heart of one of the most concentrated luxury automotive markets” in the U.S., and less than 40 miles from where it’s built in Los Angeles.

“Orange County’s appetite for high-performance vehicles makes it a natural fit for Czinger,” founder and CEO Lukas Czinger said. “Pietro and his team at Newport Beach Automotive Group are the perfect partners to represent the 21C. Their reputation for delivering an exceptional client experience reflects exactly the standard we hold ourselves to at Czinger.”
