Rick Case Automotive Group was No. 1 in 2025.

Twice.

The South Florida-based dealership group was recognized as the owner of the world’s top sales volume location for both the Honda and Volkswagen brands, the company said in a news release.

Rick Case Honda in Davie, Fla., was honored as Honda’s largest volume dealer for the second consecutive year and as the most awarded volume dealer in American Honda’s 56-year history.

The dealership also received the 2025 President’s Award Elite, Honda’s highest award for operational excellence, for an unprecedented 18th consecutive year. The award, given to about 15% of Honda dealerships annually, is based on overall dealership performance, including volume, operational excellence, customer satisfaction and facility.

The awards were presented to Rick Case CEO and president Rita Case, along with more than 400 associates, by American Honda Motor Company executives during a visit to the dealership.

“The President’s Award Elite is the highest award Honda gives to a dealer,” said Case, who began selling Hondas while in high school when her parents became the first Honda auto dealer in America. “Our entire team at Rick Case Honda participated in earning this award.

“It’s more than just about sales. It’s about operational excellence across all departments that allows us to reach the stringent benchmarks required to receive the President’s Award Elite. Our teams continue to break records because of their commitment to customer service, to each other and to being number one.”

Rick Case Honda holds the world record holder for most new Hondas sold in one month — 1,222 — and is the only Honda dealer to average 7,300 or more Honda cars sold every year since the store opened in 2002.

“Winning the President’s Award is not about selling the most cars,” Honda vice president of auto sales Lance Woelfer said. “Although Rita’s team did that and did so in amazing fashion, it’s about selling them in a way that consumers really appreciate and bond with the dealership and generate that relationship that makes them keep coming back because they want that experience over and over again.

“That’s why they’ve won the President’s Award Elite for so long and why they are No. 1 in the country in volume, which is an amazing feat. … They are Honda to our customers, and we thank them for representing us so well.”

Rick Case Volkswagen received the 2025 Wolfsburg Crest Club Award from VW Group of America CEO and president Kjell Gruner during his visit to the store, also located in Davie, within the Miami-Fort Lauderdale metro area.

“Thank you for your energy and for how you show up every day,” Gruner said to the dealership’s staff. “I am proud to be part of this team. The difference is this team.”

Rick Case Volkswagen has earned the Wolfsburg Crest in each of the 12 years it has been operating, and has been No. 1 in volume sales for the past nine years.

The Wolfsburg Crest Club Award recognizes dealerships that maintain the highest levels of excellence in service, operations, sales and customer satisfaction while consistently exceeding expectations.

“Our team is dedicated to upholding the highest standards from Volkswagen,” Rita Case said, “and they truly go above and beyond throughout the dealership each and every day.”

Kunes teams with United Way program to improve access to transportation

Kunes Auto & RV Group, announced a community initiative spanning three Milwaukee-area locations to benefit United Way programs.

The Delavan, Wis.-based dealership group will donate up to $100,000 to United Way of Greater Milwaukee and Waukesha County’s Reducing Barriers to Employment and Advancement program by contributing $100 for every vehicle sold at the three stores during the month of March.

In a news release, the company said Kunes Buick GMC of Oak Creek, Kunes Buick GMC of Greenfield and Kunes Hope Chevrolet in Milwaukee have a goal of selling 1,000 vehicles during March, with plans to complete the full donation commitment beyond the month if necessary.

Through the partnership, Kunes will become United Way’s Transportation Champion, addressing two challenges facing Milwaukee residents: lack of access to reliable transportation and the absence of a driver’s license.

The United Way program provides transportation to employment opportunities and essential services to help overcome barriers to economic mobility.

“Transportation is fundamental to economic opportunity and something we have the power to address,” Kunes Milwaukee-area regional director Brian Bohm said. “When someone cannot get to work or pursue better opportunities, it impacts their entire family and community. We want to help remove real barriers that keep people from advancing.”

Kunes said it partnered with United Way’s Reducing Barriers to Employment and Advancement program because it directly addresses issues the company sees in the Milwaukee community every day, and its transportation focus aligns with Kunes’ commitment to help customers overcome financial barriers to reliable transportation.

Kunes, which operates some 40 locations in Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa and Minnesota, has been operating in southern Wisconsin since 1996. The three dealerships participating in the current initiative were all acquired since June 2023.
