The Jeff Wyler Automotive Family has taken a giant leap into the luxury car sector.

The Cincinnati-based dealership group has acquired Midwestern Auto Group from Mark Brentlinger, adding 14 dealerships — most representing premier brands — in six locations grouped together in the Columbus suburb of Dublin, Ohio to the Wyler portfolio.

The deal, worth $500 million according to Dave Cantin Group, which represented the seller, includes Ferrari, Porsche, Rolls Royce, Bentley, Lamborghini, Lotus, Maserati, Volvo, Volkswagen, Audi, MINI, BMW, Jaguar and Land Rover franchises.

In a news release, the Wyler group said the acquisition represents “a significant milestone in the company’s growth and a once-in-a-generation opportunity that reshapes the luxury automotive retail landscape” with “a single destination that brings together 14 premier luxury automotive brands on one campus.”

The newly acquired stores have been rebranded as The Wyler Collection.

“Our goal is to become the most trusted luxury automotive partner in the country,” Jeff Wyler Automotive Family president and CEO David Wyler said. “This is a generational investment for our company, and it allows us to grow thoughtfully and responsibly with some of the most incredible brands in the world.”

Wyler said the transaction “significantly expands our presence in the region and ensures that this unicorn campus in the U.S. auto landscape remains privately held by owners who live and invest in the region.”

DCG said the deal is the second-largest luxury automotive retail transaction in the U.S. since early 2025, and it ranks among the top three largest Midwest dealership transactions of all time by total enterprise value.

DCG CEO Dave Cantin said the sale of a campus offering so many premium and luxury franchises is extremely rare, as such a site “almost never becomes available,” noting Wyler is one of just eight dealership groups in the U.S. to own both Ferrari and Lamborghini franchises.

The Wyler family, which is also a minority owner of the Cincinnati Reds baseball team, now operates some 50 franchises in 23 dealership locations in Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana, representing 35 brands.

“This acquisition is about transformation and investment in the future,” David Wyler said. “Midwestern Auto Group is entering an exciting new chapter under new ownership, with elevated expectations, enhanced standards and a renewed commitment to how luxury customers should be served. We are building on a strong foundation while raising the bar for the experience moving forward.

“I am incredibly proud of our team, who worked nonstop to successfully complete a transaction of this magnitude and navigate the complexity of coordinating with 14 OEMs. Their dedication, professionalism and execution made this possible.”

The company said The Wyler Collection will undergo a “comprehensive cultural and operational evolution” under its new ownership, including “enhanced customer care standards, concierge style sales and service experiences, leadership accountability and an elevated focus on long term-relationships rather than transactions.”

For Brentlinger, the sale caps a career of nearly 40 years in the auto industry.

“It has been the privilege of a lifetime to lead this organization,” he said. “My priority was finding a successor who would protect the culture, the people and the brand relationships that have made MAG special. Keeping this business rooted in Ohio through this transition was an added benefit. The Jeff Wyler Automotive Family is the right steward for the next era.”
