When Agero was looking to add another experienced business leader to help steer its strategy, Tom Feeney was a clear choice.
Feeney, the former president and CEO of auto glass services company Safelite, has joined Agero’s board of advisors to guide the digital driver assistance services and software provider’s executive team on strategic initiatives including product innovation, market expansion, operational excellence and partnerships in the automotive and insurance sectors.
“Tom is an exceptional business leader who led Safelite with true vision and impact,” Agero president and CEO Dave Ferrick said. “He set the benchmark for Safelite to become the most trusted and admired vehicle service brand, a goal that aligns with our own standard at Agero.
“His industry expertise will be invaluable as we redefine the roadside experience for millions of drivers and push technological boundaries to deliver unmatched customer service.”
Feeney brings another heavy hitter to an advisory group that already included former Cox Automotive president and CEO Sandy Schwartz, who came on board last month.
In a news release, Agero said Feeney led “significant business growth” during his 35 years with Safelite, 14 of those as president and CEO, focusing on two strategic principles — being “People Powered” and “Customer Driven”— as well as serving as an advisor to the insurance industry.

“Agero is at the forefront of transforming the roadside assistance experience, combining cutting-edge technology with incomparable scale and a 50-year market presence,” Feeney said. “I’m eager to contribute my experience to help accelerate innovation, strengthen partnerships and support Agero as it continues to deliver seamless, data-driven solutions for drivers, automakers and insurers.”
Feeney has served as Safelite’s chairman emeritus since retiring from the company in June 2022. He currently serves on boards for numerous organizations, including ISG, of which he is vice chairman; collision repair network Crash Champions; and InnoSource, a provider of tech-enabled staffing and workforce systems. He also advises the CEOs of Hi Marley and Shift Technology, which provide artificial intelligence technology for the insurance industry.
