Group 1 Notches Double-Digit Gains in Used Retail Revenue & Unit Sales

HOUSTON –
In the first quarter, Group 1 Automotive pushed its consolidated used-vehicle retail revenue up by a double-digit percentage as retail used unit sales climbed 12 percent.
The retailer released first-quarter financial results on Thursday; within its consolidated results (which include the U.S and international operations), used retail revenue came in at $471.4 million, a 13.6-percent year-over-year hike. Used retail unit sales climbed 12 percent at 23,238.
When looking at U.S results alone, used retail revenue was up 6.6 percent at $418.3 million, with used unit sales of 21,116 (up 6.1 percent).
