Hendrick Partners with SiriusXM to Offer Satellite Radio in Pre-Owned Vehicles

Hendrick Automotive Group this week announced a partnership with Sirius XM Radio that will offer service subscriptions to those purchasing pre-owned vehicles with factory-equipped satellite radio.
The three-month SiriusXM subscription deal applies to customers who buy a pre-owned vehicle from any of the 84 Hendrick Automotive Group dealerships across the U.S., and through Hendrickcars.com.
“I’ve been a SiriusXM listener for years," said Rick Hendrick, chairman of Hendrick Automotive Group and owner of NASCAR’s Hendrick Motorsports. “I’m a big fan of E Street Radio and of course, SiriusXM NASCAR Radio. So it’s exciting that our dealerships and Hendrickcars.com will be able to give our pre-owned customers SiriusXM. It’s a terrific service for people who love great radio content, from sports and news to music and entertainment.”
Joe Verbrugge, senior vice president and general manager of automotive remarketing and retail sales for SiriusXM, said more than 6,000 dealers across the country have signed up to offer their pre-owned vehicle customers a three-month SiriusXM subscription.
“We are very excited to include Hendrick Automotive Group in the SiriusXM pre-owned vehicle program,” said Verbrugge. “We look forward to working with Hendrick Automotive Group dealerships to deliver SiriusXM’s critically-acclaimed entertainment to their pre-owned vehicle customers.”
Participating customers will have access to commercial-free music and premier sports, news, talk, entertainment, traffic and weather information broadcast by SiriusXM, the companies said.
SiriusXM broadcasts every NASCAR, IndyCar Series and Formula 1 race, officials noted.
Franchised and independent auto dealers interested in SiriusXM’s pre-owned vehicle program can find additional information at SiriusXMPreownedTrial.com.
And earlier this summer, Auto Remarketing attended a grand opening of Hendrick Toyota Scion Apex in the Raleigh, N.C., suburbs, with executives from Hendrick Automotive and Southeast Toyota Distributors, dealership staff, local dignitaries and more on hand for the event.
In remarks during a celebratory presentation for the opening of a Hendrick Automotive Group dealership in North Carolina, it was emphasized that success for a dealer isn’t just about selling a car. It’s about keeping a customer for the long haul.
