Hertz Car Sales has expanded its program that lets potential customers try before they buy.
The used-car retailer’s extended test drive program is now available at more than 300 participating Hertz neighborhood rental locations, the company said.
TestDrive+, previously called Rent2Buy, allows shoppers to pay a daily drive fee and then test drive a vehicle for up to three days before making a purchase.
If the shopper purchases the car, the daily drive fee is waived.
Most TestDrive+ vehicles are from the 2025 or 2026 model years.
“Buying a car is a big decision, and customers have told us they want more time and flexibility to get it right,” said Jeff Adams, executive vice president of Hertz Car Sales, in a news release.

“By bringing TestDrive+ to more Hertz neighborhood rental locations, we’re making it easier for shoppers to experience a vehicle on their terms and choose with confidence.”
